In the Solar Decathlon Africa competition of the Solar Decathlon competition organized by the US Department of Energy (DOE), which aims to implement the concept of sustainable energy on a building scale, the project is held in 10 different categories (architecture, market potential, engineering, science-society interaction, innovation, water use, health and comfort). , hardware, home life and energy balance). We live in a world that seeks to reduce energy consumption significantly by increasing the use of renewable energy to achieve sustainable natural materials and to prevent global resource depletion. This project, which is realized under the name of ReYard, uses biogas obtained from algae and organic waste in the production of electricity required by the house with a system that is fed with domestic wastes unlike other designs. Electricity and heat energy is obtained by converting the organic wastes and microalgae biomass of the house into biogas. Natural cycles are simulated by re-pressing the CO2 gas from the combustion process into the algae pool. This results in virtually zero carbon emissions. In addition, environmentally friendly technologies and innovative methods developed to reduce energy consumption at home; Soil panels used as building materials were modular, photovoltaic panels, evaporative cooling, implementation of various natural ventilation strategies, water management, waste management, and the use of heat recovery devices.
