Project Inspiration
The inspiration for this pitch came from witnessing the daily struggles around waste management in India—overflowing garbage, unsafe working conditions for sanitation workers, and growing environmental pollution. The plight of ragpickers and sanitation workers, exposed to hazardous waste without proper protection, motivated me to explore how technology could bring safety, efficiency, and dignity to their lives.
How Robotics Can Help
Robotic automation can revolutionize waste management by improving efficiency and safety. AI-powered garbage trucks can identify waste hotspots and collect garbage systematically, while robotic segregation systems can sort waste faster and more precisely. These technologies reduce dependency on manual labor in hazardous environments and maximize recycling, preventing landfill overflow.
