I went to a baseball game with my family, and my nephew told me a story he saw on TikTok that was definitely not true. When I asked him about it, he said, "but this guys I like said it's real." I saw a problem and opportunity to run some experiments here with human x AI collaboration.

Gen Z gets their news from social media because it's visual and engaging, but misinformation dominates these platforms because creators prioritize virality over accuracy. Can we deliver more factual stories in the format Gen Z likes?

What I Built

I built a system that generates verified news content across articles, podcasts, images, animated videos, and social posts. All AI-generated. All sourced and factual.

We use ElevenLabs, FAL, ChatGPT, Claude, and CapCut and more. We use custom API calls and automations. The technical challenge was significant: integration issues, rate limits, format conflicts. Weeks of vibe coding and troubleshooting.

The harder challenge was quality. First versions were unusable—robotic audio, poor visuals, scripts that felt wrong. I spent weeks iterating: refining prompts, adjusting parameters, testing formats. Daily improvements to reach the high quality I have now.

The Core Challenge

People are skeptical about human x AI collaboration to produce factual news. Sometimes the quality is not as high as I'd like, but sometimes the quality, data, and insights are something surprising, delightful, and enlightening that you would never get from a basic news reporter or podcast. I keep iterating and working to improve quality, and they podcasts and social videos continue to get better and better.

The Result

The video submitted is a short social post that summarizes our full podcast that covers the protests happening right now in Mexico City. I believe that it's important for younger generations to have factual knowledge about these events, so I'll continue working on it.
