How it came to be (The Problem)

One of our teammates saw a road accident where people were just recording videos of the injured person who supposably was in a critical condition. Some of them gave him water but no one was calling an ambulance or police. He asked whether someone called an ambulance or not, but people said they didn't want to get involved with the police investigation.
From there, came the idea to build an app that does not include the person calling for emergency services but establishes a direct connection between the victim and the hospital.

Our Solution

The app 'Revive' sends the current location of the person using our app to a nearby hospital, and also shows nearby hospitals (with no. of beds available ), Blood Banks, and Pharmacies within a 15 Km Radius of the person using our app.

Challenges we ran into

Implementing google maps API, fragments, and recycler view in the app. Finding relevant data points with accessible APIs also proved to be more challenging than anticipaed.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that our app uses present-day technology to further minimize the damage after an accident. Our app will help the person and the medical authority to work better together and not waste time explaining the accident's location, by sending his real-time location.

What we learned

We learned about how to solve the problem of trolling, We also learned that people are willing to help if we gave them a direct and easy way to help.

What's next

The app will only grow to become the solution to every medical emergency need.
