Inspiration

Climate change is a growing concern, and we wanted to create something that empowers individuals to take control of their carbon footprint. Our goal was to make sustainability simple, actionable, and impactful.

What it does

Reverve helps users monitor and reduce their carbon footprint. By tracking daily activities like transportation, energy use, and food choices, it provides real-time insights and personalized eco-advice to promote greener living.

How we built it

We used React Native for cross-platform app development and integrated APIs for carbon footprint estimation. A lightweight backend with Firebase stores user data, and an AI module delivers tailored environmental tips.

Challenges we ran into

Accurately estimating emissions from various lifestyle choices was tricky. We also faced hurdles in creating a clean, intuitive UI that still delivered detailed data and recommendations without overwhelming users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully built a working prototype with real-time tracking and dynamic advice. Our UI is simple yet engaging, and early testers found the app both useful and motivating.

What we learned

We gained insights into environmental data models, carbon accounting, and how small behavior changes can add up. We also improved our skills in API integration, user experience design, and agile development.

What's next for Reverve

We plan to add gamification, community challenges, and integration with wearables for even smarter tracking. Our vision is to make Reverve a daily eco-companion for a climate-conscious generation.
