Inspiration
The growth and potential of IoT and the power it beholds in our future
What it does
A smart home that uses IoT which has Amazon's latest and intuitive service [Alexa] as the centre. Alexa is supposed to do anything and everything to ensure you have a happy and comfortable stay at your own place, be it making your coffee or just keeping you warm when it gets cold.
How we built it
We have used mutiple radios and communication protocols, such as WiFi, BLE, to show the power that IoT possess. We used the Alexa API by Amazon to control and play around with Alexa.
Challenges we ran into
Javascript, Node JS, BLE Custom Profiles, Getting and Posting data from and to the server, actuation, tunneling[private ip]
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Got the Alexa working. The whole team staying up straight from the beginning till the end
What we learned
Nothing is impossible if you have enough redbull and monster
What's next for Reverb
We would want to better the prototype of our product to make it work and look better.
