Inspiration

Startups and SaaS companies invest significant time, money, and resources into creating product demo videos. Keeping these videos consistent—and constantly updating them whenever a new version of the software is released—is a major, recurring pain point for product teams.

What it does

Reveel AI focuses on radically simplifying the creation of product walkthrough videos using AI. It offers an intuitive user interface where any user can simply sign up, provide their product URL, and enter a text prompt. Based on that input, the platform autonomously generates a polished product demonstration video.

How we built it

We built this application by heavily leveraging modern web frameworks and the Google ecosystem. Our tech stack includes:

Frontend/Framework: Next.js
Backend & Cloud: Firebase and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
AI Engine: Google Gemini
Automation: Model Context Protocol (MCP) utilizing Playwright and Chromium for autonomous browser interaction.

Challenges we ran into

Creating autonomous AI video demos is highly complex. We had to carefully balance our choice of AI models to keep operational costs low while maintaining enough intelligence to interact with real, existing web components. Furthermore, perfectly synchronizing and integrating the AI-generated voiceover with the recorded video playback proved to be our ultimate technical hurdle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This project is the realization of a vision I've had in my mind for a long time. I am incredibly thankful for this opportunity, as it finally gave me the push and the platform to turn my abstract idea into a tangible, working reality.

What we learned

I learned a massive amount about the deep capabilities offered by GCP, Gemini, and Firebase. Initially, I thought the autonomous generation would be relatively straightforward to implement, but in reality, I hit numerous technical roadblocks that taught me invaluable lessons in problem-solving and system architecture.

What's next for Reveel AI

I am actively looking for open-minded mentors and seed investors to help me refine the product, turn this working idea into a viable business, and officially bootstrap Reveel AI as a startup. Still lot to work on, it requires dedicated time.
