Inspiration

Our team was inspired by the website theme of the hackathon, which involved plants and fauna. This made us want to build something that would help the environment, and we eventually decided on reusable.

What it does

Reusable is an anonymous marketplace where users can upload items that most likely would have been thrown away for other users to retrieve for free.

How we built it

We build this website using Node.js.

Challenges we ran into

Establishing and implementing a database for storing the objects proved to be very difficult as our group was unfamiliar with things of that sort.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Through communication and a team effort, we were able to overcome the previously stated challenge and finish a website that we find aesthetically pleasing.

What we learned

We all became much more familiar with Javascript, HTML, and CSS, as well as realized that every programming challenge, no matter how impenetrable it may seem, has an intuitive solution.

What's next for reusable

We plan to continue to improve the website's front-end aesthetics as well as back-end database.
