Inspiration
The inspiration for RetroRumble came from our collective experiences growing up in the 2000s, where the PS2 was a central part of our childhood. We wanted to develop an interactive space where developers and gamers could come together to reminisce about their favorite titles and share their passion for gaming.
What it does
RetroRumble features a sleek, responsive carousel that showcases an array of classic PS2 games, complete with engaging descriptions and high-quality images
How we built it
We utilized a combination of modern web technologies to bring RetroRumble to life. The front end was built with React, which allowed us to create a dynamic user interface with reusable components. We integrated React-Slick for the carousel functionality, enabling smooth transitions and responsive design.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We take great pride in successfully capturing the essence of the PS2 in our project while ensuring modern usability.
What we learned
RetroRumble taught us invaluable lessons about collaboration, time management, and the intricacies of front-end development.
What's next for RetroRumble
Looking ahead, we envision expanding RetroRumble into a more comprehensive gaming hub. Future iterations could include user-generated content, allowing players to share their own experiences, reviews, and gameplay videos. With the foundation we've built, the possibilities for RetroRumble are endless, and we're excited to continue evolving this project.
