Inspiration
Taking an online marketplace like Craigslist and making it university-specific and retro to match HackGT's theme! Also wanted to try our hand out at both frontend and backend workflows.
What it does
Create and manage your user profile and make listings to sell your retro items to people at your university! You can also filter other listings based on location and item category and price. Each listing contains the items description and price and the seller contact information.
How we built it
React, Mongo, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Express, Axios
Challenges we ran into
- Connecting backend to frontend workflow
- Running into bugs between test and final databases for backend
- Formatting and making frontend clean and consistent across pages
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Using Mongo more extensively and connecting several collections
- Connecting the frontend to the backend and testing it out successfully
- Making the website pretty ✨
