Retro-Rewind is an exciting chrome extension that lets you go back in time to experience the internet of the past. Take any webpage and see what it was years ago, all while grooving with vaporwave.

Inspiration

When we were young, this was the shape of the internet. In an increasingly digitalized age, our reality is inseparable from the internet. The capacity to go back to these websites as they were in the past transports us to a different time and a more nostalgic and retro vibe.

What it does

Our chrome extension allows users to do three things: Reload a webpage into a much older version of itself Changes the ~vibe~ of your current webpage through a retro theme. Lets you jam out to some vaporwave and improve any mood.

How we built it

HTML, CSS, and Javascript were utilized to create a chrome extension

Challenges we ran into

Chrome extension development has a learning curve. Once we got that down it was smooth sailing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Jam button and CSS backflow on the buttons. Absolutely epic. We also are proud to have good execution of an idea we were all excited about!

What we learned

Chrome extension development. Advancement in established javascript and web development skills.

What's next for Retro-Rewind

We hope to smooth out some small bugs with the throwback feature.
