Inspiration:

Throughout the project, our inspiration was to create a bank that understood young people. As teenagers who came from different Mexico cities, we all brought together the ideology from distinct locations: Puebla, Guadalajara, Veracruz, and Monterrey. This heterogeneity helped us to have different perspectives and needs. Also, we obtain inspiration from the new SOFIPOS like NU Bank, Klar, and Stori, to name some examples; we consider these applications to attract a first sight the attention of teenagers. With that information, we were in charge of analyzing what they do, for it to be implemented in BANORTE.

What does it do?

This model is centered on capturing adolescents' attention. We create 2 distribution channels: app and website. Adding up, we make both systems more visually attractive.

We centered on the implementation of the AI, for 2 things: to know what service and/ or card adapts more to your profile and to give you recommendations of educational finance, also, adapted to your profile.

Also, we implement an efficient login system that will only take 5 minutes to create a bank account 100% digital.

How we build it?

We built two distribution channels. To realize them we use programs such as Swift, Node.Js, Angular, SCSS, HTML and GitHub.

Challenges we ran into?

While developing the case, we ran into some challenges. In the beginning, we have a volume of ideas, but we don't know how to exactly implement each of those. Also, in the development, placing the ideas into reality was hard, while the time was passing we felt more pressured since we had some problems like different response formats, and learning how to create an app from the beginning. Additionally, only having 24 hours to realize the whole challenge, was complicated; the pressure and not sleeping well, for some time, it leveled down our performance.

Accomplishments what we're proud of?

We're proud of achieving so much in such a short time—building both a website and an app with key features to make BANORTE more appealing to young users. We successfully implemented AI to streamline processes and created visually engaging platforms. We're especially proud of how we organized ourselves, identified each team member’s strengths, and worked together under pressure, even though we didn’t know each other beforehand. It was empowering to realize that we could accomplish amazing things outside of a classroom, learning not because we had to, but because we wanted to. It was an unforgettable experience.

What we learned?

The challenge marks a before, during, and after. Before the challenge, we said we were different people. We hadn't met each other before so that integration was good, all the ideas were welcome, and we didn't have trouble joining the team and communicating. During the challenge, it was a moment to meet each other best abilities and learn from them. After, we learned that we can do awesome things with only 24 hours.

What is next for PRUEBAA-BIG BAD CODE-BANORTE?

We are expecting a new challenge. We are a strong and united team, and each of our careers and locality, help to encode the challenges and have distinct viewpoints.
