Inspiration

As we near graduation, we start to consider the cost of living in various areas, salaries, mortgages, rent, and finances. Our goal was to have a general paradigm of what we would need to save to retire at a designated age. This website allows us to calculate, visualize, and manipulate the data to get an overview of how our financial status will be and our spending's over our lifetime.

What it does

The site gives you a bit of information about why it is important to save and how you should save. The website allows you to input your total net worth, percentage of net worth invested, income, bills, age, life expectancy, percentage of income invested, speculated age of retirement, and percentage interest on investments. It then outputs a graph symbolizing how much money you will have saved for retirement and how long that will last you.

How we built it

Python, Streamlit, heroku, and Domain.com

We learned that there are some fantastic API's for frontend development.

What's next for Don't Work Forever

We will be adding more features including large investments, and periods of different income and bills.
