RetailIQo – AI-Powered Retail Intelligence Inspiration

Small and independent retailers often struggle to make data-driven decisions. While large enterprises use expensive analytics tools, small shop owners rely mostly on intuition. This gap inspired RetailIQo — a simple, intelligent platform that brings AI-powered insights to everyday retail decision-making.

The goal was to create an application that feels like a virtual business analyst, helping retailers understand trends, plan inventory, and make smarter choices without needing technical expertise.

What it does

RetailIQo is a web-based retail intelligence application that provides:

With the integration of the Gemini 3 API, the application can reason over user inputs and generate actionable insights, making retail analytics more accessible and practical.

How we built it

The project was built as a modern web application with a clean and simple UI to ensure ease of use. The frontend is deployed on Netlify for public access and fast performance. Gemini 3 is integrated to handle reasoning-based insights, allowing the app to process user queries and generate meaningful business guidance rather than static responses.

The focus was on building a new, original application where AI plays a central role in understanding and supporting retail decisions.

Challenges we faced

One of the biggest challenges was designing the AI interaction so it felt useful and purposeful, not just a generic chatbot. Another challenge was keeping the application lightweight and fast while still demonstrating the advanced reasoning capabilities of Gemini 3. Through iteration and testing, the project was refined to balance simplicity, performance, and intelligence.
