π Inspiration
In todayβs competitive job market, many candidates struggle to understand why their resumes get rejected. We wanted to solve this problem by building an intelligent system that not only analyzes resumes but also provides actionable insights and improvements. Our goal was to simulate how recruiters and ATS systems evaluate candidates, making the hiring process more transparent and accessible.
π§ What it does
ResumeIQ AI is an AI-powered resume intelligence platform that:
- Analyzes resumes and generates an ATS score
- Matches resumes with job descriptions
- Identifies missing skills and keyword gaps
- Predicts chances of shortlisting
- Suggests improvements and rewrites resume content
- Generates a personalized skill roadmap
This transforms a simple resume checker into a decision-making tool for career growth.
βοΈ How we built it
We built the application using:
- React (Vite) for a fast and modern frontend
- Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive UI
- JavaScript APIs for AI-based analysis (mocked where needed)
- LocalStorage for temporary data handling
The system uses intelligent logic and simulated AI responses to deliver real-time feedback and insights.
𧩠Challenges we ran into
- Parsing and structuring resume data effectively
- Designing an intuitive UI that looks like a real product
- Simulating AI responses without a full backend
- Making the analysis feel accurate and meaningful
π What we learned
- How to design AI-powered user experiences
- Importance of UI/UX in hackathon success
- Breaking complex systems into simple, demo-ready features
- Rapid prototyping and building under time constraints
π Future improvements
- Integrate real AI APIs for deeper analysis
- Add user authentication and resume history
- Improve accuracy with machine learning models
- Deploy as a full SaaS platform
π‘ Conclusion
ResumeIQ AI is not just a resume analyzer β it is an AI-driven hiring intelligence system that empowers users to optimize their resumes and increase their chances of success.
