Inspiration We noticed that while Adobe Express makes visual design simple, many job seekers still struggle to create eye-catching resumes and portfolios—especially those without design skills. Most end up using generic templates or outdated tools, losing the chance to stand out. We wanted to empower everyone, from students to professionals, to effortlessly showcase their unique stories in a visually compelling way.

What it does The Resume & Portfolio Visual Enhancer is an Adobe Express add-on that transforms plain text resumes and portfolios into beautifully formatted, industry-tailored designs using AI. It:

Analyzes content like job roles, skills, and experience

Suggests optimal templates, font pairings, and color schemes

Automatically formats sections with icons and visual hierarchy

Allows export in multiple formats (PDF, PNG, Web)

Supports quick portfolio building from existing projects or LinkedIn data

How we built it Frontend: Adobe Express SDK & React for seamless design integration

Backend: Node.js with an Express server to process resume data

AI Layer: OpenAI API for role detection and layout recommendations

APIs: LinkedIn for importing work experience, Google Fonts for type pairing

Storage: Firebase to store templates and user design sessions
