Inspiration

The inspiration was witnessing how bad the job market is.

What it does

We created a meaningful and effective solution by making a resume matcher that displays the best ranked jobs that is based on the user's skills and experience, it shows a score of the different jobs from 0-100.

How we built it

We built it using gemini api to parse the resume. Then, used a competitor web scraper that would collect data from different jobs to store inside MongoDB.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge we ran into was getting Yellowcake API to work accordingly, so to substitute, we used a competitor web scraping API (with the permission of Yellowcake discord)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we got it to a working state, where it can collect data and rank the jobs.

What we learned

We learnt how important it is to have the front end connected with the backend. This was crucial to having a working project.

What's next for ResuMatch

The next step is making this into a startup
