Inspiration
We wanted to create an application that allows less contact due to Covid-19 in restaurants. Features of this website would be that the chef would be able to get the orders straight from the checkout system.
What it does
Functionality wasn't achieved, but ideally we would want the consumer page to add items to the cart. Once the user has everything in the cart, then they can checkout and the chef's side of the application will receive the order.
How we built it
Built using CSS/html as well as java.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into some difficulty when combining all the separation of work to create a cohesive project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of simply making it through our first hackathon!
What we learned
Throughout the development of our project, we learned a lot of new topics in programming. The biggest thing we learned and dedicated most of our time was how to design an appealing web page for our restaurant. We would also add a feedback section where customers can leave any comment, concern as well as question and will get a reward point.
What's next for Restaurant Order System
In the future, we want to eventually incorporate a database that will store the most requested dishes so others customers can choose and try them.
