This idea came from lived experience. Both of us had struggled with poor sleep for over four years. One day, Shourya had a sudden shower thought that sparked the concept, and we began researching the market. We discovered that most sleep apps are either generic trackers or meditation tools; very few offer real personalization or predictive insights. This is critical as 20% of all Americans report feeling tired during the day leading to decreased productivity, mood, and energy. Poor sleep is also directly linked to negative impacts on mental health and cognitive function as well as increasing chances of heart disease and diabetes. We’re not sleep scientists, but we are the users: data-driven and frustrated by the lack of personalized tools. We’ve shared our concept with dozens of people across age groups, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. It is clear there is demand for a more innovative and personalized service, and we are building the app we wish we had four years ago.
