Being new to computer science and programming myself, I found it very hard to find resources that would help me get started in the vast field. A website/resource like resourcify would have been immensely helpful in getting started and developing my skills. That is why I wanted to create this website that will help others who are just getting started. It would be especially helpful for people in underserved communities who often do not have access to paid resources and could launch their careers using the resources listed on the website.

What it does

The website is a resource base for everything related to computer science. It provides educational, philanthropic, and professional opportunities so anyone can get started with learning programming and pursuing it as a career.

How we built it

We used HTML and CSS to develop the website on an online IDE, Replit, for easier collaboration. We eventually transferred everything to Github and the website is currently hosted at the following URL:

Challenges we ran into

Being completely new to programming, it was challenging to set up the website and develop the UI along with animations and background effects.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud to be able to have completed a final product for the website with all the resources we had planned to include.

What we learned

We learned a lot about web development in terms of hosting websites, using HTML and CSS, and the limitations of each language in implementing certain features.

What's next for Resourcify

In the future, we hope to add resources relating to other fields and interests. Additionally, we wish to implement a form that can get user info to provide personalized information based on their level of education, interests, and goals.
