What it does
FitBreak-TV is a fitness and wellness concept designed for TV screens. It encourages users to take short, refreshing movement breaks instead of sitting for long periods. The goal is to make healthy habits simple, accessible, and enjoyable through a TV-friendly experience.
How we built it
We built FitBreak-TV using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focusing on a simple interface that can be navigated and viewed comfortably on a television screen. The project emphasizes clear layouts, easy-to-understand interactions, and a user-friendly experience.
Challenges we ran into
As a beginner working on a TV-focused project, one of our main challenges was understanding how to design an experience for a different screen and interaction environment. We also had to consider responsive layouts, navigation, and how to test the project on an Amazon Fire TV device.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to turn an idea into a working web project and explore how web technologies can be used to create wellness experiences for television users. This project also gave us an opportunity to learn by building something practical.
What we learned
We learned more about structuring web interfaces with HTML, styling responsive layouts with CSS, and adding interactivity with JavaScript. We also gained a better understanding of the challenges involved in developing and testing TV-friendly web experiences.
What's next for fitbreak-tv
Next, we aim to improve the TV navigation experience, add more engaging movement-break activities, refine the interface for larger screens, and test compatibility with Amazon Fire TV to make the experience smoother and more accessible.
