Inspiration

We wanted to create a project that would help solve potential real world problems that minorities and immigrants to the USA in the Miami-Dade area face.

What it does

The program is a questionnaire that asks a variety of questions and accordingly provides free resources to help resolve potential issues minorities and immigrants might be facing.

How we built it

We built the program collaboratively using a live share extension on VS code. The program is written entirely using Python as a programming language. We used GitHub as a repository so we could share the project publicly.

Challenges we ran into

Our program runs in both English and Spanish and we had a hard time returning the output in the selected language. Another obstacle for us was our programming knowledge and experience as we had very good ideas about what we want from our project but had to make changes to make it achievable in the time frame we were allotted to complete and submit the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

All the members in the group had basic programming skills and limited experience with full-sized projects. We are proud we were able to come together and spend hours trying to come up with solutions; testing the program and completing something together. As a group we were able to solve problems that might seem daunting on our own.

What we learned

This project was a great learning experience for us as individuals and as a group. We learned we can achieve greater things working as a team and that the only limitation to achieving a goal is the mindset.

What's next for Resource Questionnaire

In the future we aim to be much more refined programmers with a more vast knowledge of technologies, we do believe in our project but would love to have a more refined project in the form of a website as well as an app that is accessible through the internet.
