Existing initiatives like the Russell Trust manage to save just 10,000 tonnes - barely 4% of potential rescue-able food. Why? Because connecting excess supply with urgent demand is a complex logistical challenge.
Enter ReSource - our data-driven platform that optimises the connection between supermarkets and food banks. We used linear optimisation to more accurately connect London supermarket’s with surplus product and food bank demands, we've created a system that simplifies the logistics while incentivizing participation through a credit-based reward system.
