  NGO searching from available items

Inspiration

The book selling amazon system inspired me why can't donation be made as a product where rather than randomly distributing items, distribute by both donor and NGO needs confirmed earlier.

What it does

It lists the items with tags that donor wants to donate. The NGOs scroll among the items available and choose the item fits for their needs.

How we built it

I built it as a web application, using Next.js and Postgresql.

Challenges we ran into

There were many challenges like keeping the availability of the product, making the product delivery authenticated by NGOs, user availability for product delivery to desired NGO.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The project securely list the items and handled only to a single NGO by a booked flag, fast response time of the products, not only real-time but a universal product image integration from URL.

What we learned

I learnt the usage of indexing for better searching opportunities in RDBMS, the web meta data usage for better SEO timings, token based system as used in Rapido for verification of donor and NGOs.

What's next for ReSource

I want to make ReSource project being able to connect the donor and NGOs agreed on a product to chat for better clarity of needs and problems if any.
