Public problems such as potholes, broken streetlights, water leaks, drainage blockages, and waste accumulation affect everyday life. Citizens need a transparent way to report these issues, follow progress, and know whether the problem has genuinely been resolved. I built ResolveAI to bring citizens, responsible organizations, field workers, and administrators together in one connected system.

What it does

ResolveAI is an AI-assisted grievance management platform that supports the journey from reporting a problem to its final resolution. Citizens submit issues with descriptions, photographs, and location details. AI assists with categorization, prioritization, and issue summaries. Organizations review grievances and assign suitable workers. Workers accept jobs, carry out repairs, and submit after-repair photographs, completion descriptions, and GPS evidence.

The platform compares the reported and completion locations and uses AI to assist with before-and-after evidence review. The responsible organization makes the final resolution decision. Once approved, the public can view privacy-safe information about the resolved issue.

How I built it

I developed the application in Replit and used the design, backend, and AI tools available to me during development. The project combines a role-based interface, database-backed grievance workflows, image handling, location information, and AI-assisted analysis. Challenges and learning

One of the main challenges was connecting different user roles into a consistent workflow. A citizen's report must reach the right organization, an assignment must be accepted by a worker, and submitted completion evidence must be reviewed before an issue can be closed.

This project helped me understand the importance of controlled status transitions, appropriate permissions, evidence-based verification, and separating AI recommendations from final human decisions.

Impact

ResolveAI aims to make civic grievance handling more transparent and accountable. By connecting reporting, assignment, repair evidence, verification, and final approval, it provides a clearer record of how community problems are addressed.
