ReskU was inspired by the urgent need to help abandoned animals find safe and loving homes. Too often, adoption processes lack visibility and are difficult for both shelters and adopters. I wanted to create a clear, intuitive, and impactful solution to make adoption easier and faster.
I designed the entire project using Figma, focusing on a clean and user-friendly interface that makes browsing animal profiles simple and engaging. Through this, I learned how to translate social impact needs into a digital experience, improving my skills in UI/UX design, prototyping, and user flows.
One of the main challenges was balancing usability with trust and safety, ensuring that adopters feel confident and shelters have the tools they need. Another challenge was creating a design that works seamlessly for different users, from shelters to individual rescuers.
This project taught me how design can be a powerful tool to create meaningful connections and help save lives.
