Inspiration

In today’s education system, academic performance is often prioritized, while student mental well‑being, motivation, and resilience are overlooked. Many students silently experience stress, burnout, and loss of motivation, which directly impacts their learning outcomes. Teachers also struggle to identify these issues early due to large class sizes and limited tools. Resilio was inspired by the need to bridge this gap—to create a platform that not only supports learning but also understands students emotionally and psychologically, providing timely support before problems escalate.

What it does

Resilio is an AI‑powered learning and well‑being platform designed for students and teachers.

Provides a Google Classroom‑like environment enhanced with AI

Tracks student motivation, engagement, and resilience through learning behavior

Offers personalized AI guidance, reminders, and stress‑aware support

Helps teachers identify low‑motivated or stressed students early

Creates a safe, ethical, and stigma‑free support system

The AI acts as a 24/7 academic and emotional support assistant, while teachers remain informed and in control.

How we built it

Frontend: React.js + Tailwind CSS for a modern, responsive, animated UI

Backend: Node.js + Express.js to manage authentication, assignments, dashboards, and AI workflows

AI & Intelligence Layer: AI models analyze:

Login frequency

Assignment delays

Interaction patterns

Study consistency to build psycho‑educational profiles

Database: MongoDB to securely store user data, activity logs, and progress history

Visualization: Charts and dashboards for motivation, performance, and resilience tracking

Challenges we ran into

Detecting motivation ethically without invading student privacy

Designing AI support that feels empathetic, not robotic

Avoiding over‑monitoring or pressure on students

Balancing AI automation with teacher authority

Making the platform simple enough for real adoption

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Designed an AI‑first classroom platform, not just an AI chatbot

Integrated mental well‑being with education, not as a separate feature

Created role‑based dashboards for students, teachers, and admins

Built a system aligned with real educational workflows

Ensured ethical design, transparency, and consent‑based tracking

What we learned

Student success depends as much on emotional resilience as academic ability

AI works best as a support system, not a replacement for humans

Small behavioral signals can reveal early stress and disengagement

Ethical AI design is essential in education

User‑centered design greatly improves adoption and trust

What's next for Resilio-An AI‑Powered Platform for Student Motivation

Advanced emotion‑aware AI coaching

Integration with existing platforms (Google Classroom, LMS tools)

Parental insights (optional and consent‑based)

Professional counselor escalation for high‑risk cases

Multilingual support for wider accessibility

Long‑term analytics to track growth in resilience and motivation
