Startups can help alleviate job losses during recessions

When I saw the huge number of jobless claims, I realized that behind the statistics are human stories of hardship and lost opportunity. Over three million people have already found themselves without a job, and that's just in the USA (!). To try and help alleviate this situation, Resilience Ventures will crowdsource startup ideas and build an initial MVP that recently unemployed people can launch as their own ventures, and even employ other people in the same situation. Five ideas have already been generated, and with the right support and funding this could become a catalyst for job creation all around the world.
