What it does

Our idea is to focus on infrastructure in response to the rapid increase in fire occurrences recently. PG&E will play a huge role in our plan, with our idea involving underground lines and a new hybrid steel-wood electric line. We must also distribute public and foundation grants to CDC's and CDFI's to make these renovations while still keep communities affordable to its residents. We also propose coordinating a regional fuel mitigation plan (created with the consultation of fire ecologists and indigenous groups) so that there are no gaps between individually executed controlled fires.

How we built it

We used the ACS, UrbanFootprint and their data, as well as the Association of Bay Area Governments' Wildfire Resources

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We believe that our plan incentivizes infrastructure updates as well as ensuring that the most disadvantaged are not left behind with these updates.
