The Problem - The Covid19 crisis showed how important organisational resilience is. BondWeaver's product team came up with a solution that is able to measure and monitor organisational resilience by using network science and machine learning.

The Solution - The Resilience Analytics Tool (and dashboard) allows organisations to see how resilient and efficient are their human networks in different aspects of their organisations. We have come up with a set of KPIs to measure their core resilience (crucial aspects in crisis) and competitive resilience (how can an organisation recover and be competitive after a crisis).

What have we done during the weekend - First, we have identified the challenges that companies face during and after the crisis. We came up with a set of network metrics, that provide essential information on the resilience of the organisation. Our data scientist, Professor Balázs Vedres, who is one of the world's most renown network scientists, validated these metrics on our existing data sets and we have selected 6 (3 core and 3 competitive resilience metrics) that are crucial for the survival and efficient operation for the organisation. The dashboard and 2 KPI landing pages were created by the IT team.

The necessities in order to continue the project - The next step is to create sub-KPIs for the reamaining 4 metrics and to finalise the back-end automation. The tool is currently survey-based, but in the next months, our goal is to create an automated version using digital traces such as connection logs from calendars and other internal communication tools like Slack or Microsoft Teams.

The value of your solution(s) after the crisis - After the crisis, the next step/question is, how can we bounce back to normal as soon as possible. The human networks at companies are being disrupted right now and it is crucial to mend and improve them in order to remain competitive.
