Inspiration
Life can become overwhelming, especially when people are dealing with stress, isolation, pressure, or difficult emotions. In those moments, even simple tasks can feel difficult, and people may not know what to do next. I wanted to create something simple, accessible, and practical rather than another complicated platform. That idea led us to RESET — a project designed to give users a small, supportive space where they can pause, reset, and take a positive next step.
What it does
RESET is a simple web-based tool focused on helping users regain a sense of control during overwhelming moments. Instead of trying to solve everything at once, RESET encourages users to take things one step at a time through accessible tools and a supportive interface.
How we built it
I built RESET as a responsive web application using web technologies. I focused on creating a clean and easy-to-use interface that works across different screen sizes, including mobile devices. The project was developed with a user-first approach: every feature was designed to be straightforward, lightweight, and accessible without requiring complicated setup.
Challenges we ran into
One of my biggest challenges was deciding how to turn a broad problem into something useful without making the project unnecessarily complicated. I also had to think carefully about the user experience, mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and how to organize different features so that users can understand them quickly. Another challenge was building and testing the project with limited resources. This pushed us to focus on the essentials and make the most of simple web technologies.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am very proud of that after all I built RESET. And it's working perfectly. And it's working just like I wanted to be.
What we learned
Building RESET taught me that a good solution isn't necessarily the one with the most features. Sometimes, simplicity and usability can make a project much more meaningful. I also learned more about responsive web development, user-focused design, debugging, and turning an idea into a working product. Most importantly, I learned to think about technology from the user's perspective: Does this actually make someone's experience easier?
What's next for RESET
I want to continue improving RESET by adding more useful features, improving accessibility, gathering user feedback, and making the experience more personalized while keeping the project simple and easy to use. RESET is my attempt to show that technology can be used not only to build powerful tools, but also to create small moments of support when people need them most.
