Inspiration

Medical Research is scary by nature. Complex graphs, charts, paragraphs of text that no one understands -- there's a reason why normal people rarely read academic text. Researchly hopes to change that for medical patients. Every patient should have access to the cutting-edge research in their field and not need to study for hours or get a medical degree to understand it. Instead, researchly hopes to simplify academic text to a level that everyone can understand.

What it does

Allows users to quickly find, analyze, summarize, and do everything with academia using the power of ChatGPT and arXiv.

How we built it

blood, sweat, tears, NextJS, and APIs.

Challenges we ran into

There is a long loading time to upload research articles into ChatGPT.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and GPT technology for comprehending intricate information, benefiting a wide range of users, including researchers, students, and educators.

Intuitive User Interface: We've designed a modern and user-friendly interface that places a premium on ease of use, elevating the overall user interaction.

Streamlined Cloud Connectivity: The effortless integration of the cloud software development kit (SDK) empowers users to securely store and access their files, amplifying the application's accessibility and convenience.

What we learned

I learned how to develop PDF viewers and scrapers! They're harder thank you think.,

What's next for researchly

Perhaps more research providers, other than just Arxiv? Also, storing conversational history would be big.
