Our design process was surprisingly straight forward. We came up with a massive list of ideas prior to even meeting each other. However, we continued to add to the list during the first presentations. It was one of these later ideas that was chosen. After that, we began constructing a low fidelity framework within Figma. None of us had had much design experience, much less used Figma, so this was a good opportunity to experiment with different designs and learn how the application worked. We focused first on usability, ensuring that we had a working platform. We then began to make higher fidelity models of the login screen and added functions to the browse page. After this, we gave the prototype over to our mothers and little sisters. We wanted the application to be as intuitive as possible, and this proved to be a harsh test. After noting the defects and objects of confusion, we redesigned the interface and addressed their concerns. Finally, we tested out several color and design schemes and selected our favorite. We concluded by extensively testing our application and ensuring as much functionality as possible. Our goal was to deliver as close to a finished product as possible to the judges.
