ResaleConnect

Inspiration

I see marketplace on social media flooding with requests to sell and buy things from people who are trying to sell their unused or used items that they no longer need. Since there is no dedicated app for this, ResaleConnect was developed for this hackathon.

What it does

Users can list their items and set price for the item they are targeting to resell. Buyers find the listing through hashtag and connect with the sellers. The item later gets marked as sold.

How we built it

Using MeDo it literally took the right prompt.

Challenges we ran into

There were a couple of bugs that prevented from listing the items. Didn't let the user search using hashtags etc. The tester feature in MeDo was really handy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting the app set up in less than 15 mins with 60 credits still remaining is something I'm proud of.

What we learned

I learnt the React implementation for UI despite not being an expert front-end dev.

What's next for ResaleConnect

A lot of improvements, like integrating a payment system. Order tracking, chat feature to talk to the buyer/seller can be made as part of next steps. there could be an AI customer chatbot as well.
