Inspiration

We both use PoshMark, but the recommended selling prices are based on what prices are sold for, not orginally listed at, and sellers can expect those prices to drop

What it does

ResaleRadar empowers online sellers to list items at effective prices, using real sale data to reliably estimate the value of your item. Since sellers on resale websites, such as Poshmark, often sell for less than their initial listing price, we have dedicated our website to helping users optimize their sale revenues through a system based on demand and historical value of the item.

How we built it

coded methods and logic in IntelliJ, GUI in SceneBuilder, used Playwright for data scraping

Challenges we ran into

Finding the index for criteria on Poshmark for webscraping, parsing the website and collecting data, calculating an effective recommended price, moving each component on the Scene Builder

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Web scraping, excluding outliers from data, and graphing the data.

applying the technology to empower sellers on other resale sites such as Depop and EBay
