Inspiration
Mars is far from help. Rockets leave every 26 months and cost $178M each. If a machine breaks and the spare parts aren't there, the crew dies. We built a tool to plan for that.
What it does
You set up a mission. We run it 1,000 times with random breakdowns and show the chance the crew survives. One click finds the cheapest fix. Demo: 57% to 99.5%.
How we built it
React and TypeScript in the browser. Real NASA and USDA data. Real rocket paths from NASA planet positions.
Challenges we ran into
Keeping it fast, finding a source for every number, and keeping the screen simple.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's fast, it uses real data, and the fix works in one click.
What we learned
Spare parts matter more than food. When supplies arrive matters more than how much you send.
What's next for Res-Supply Chain
Compare plans side by side, add more risks like dust storms, and export reports.
