Inspiration

We took a trip down memory lane wherein our teachers used to teach us new things such as animals, fruits, etc. with the help of basic colored charts, and we thought that this learning experience can be very much improved and made much more interactive with the help of presently available technology.

What it does

RERUM is an Augmented Reality app for Android (can be ported to iOS and Windows Phone) using which the user can simply point towards an object and can get relevant information about it.

How we built it

We used the Unity3D Game Engine with Vuforia SDK.

Challenges we ran into

This was the first time we were making such an application and so from designing the assets to actually making them work together was a challenge for us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

The single most significant accomplishment we are proud of is that we were able to successfully build a demo product in the given time period.

What we learned

We learned to work as a team continuously for hours and thrive to complete a project in a given time span. To be specific, we learned how to make multiple Image targets work in a single project.

What's next for RERUM

In addition to Image Targeting, we will be working on implementing the app to work with 3D Objects, Monument (location based), and much more.
