Hassle to sort out requisites

What it does

It shows a list of courses. User can add courses to create their four year plan. Once that's done, they can check if the requisites of the courses added to the plan are met.

How we built it

We extracted data from NYUAD bulletin and created a JSON file to store those data. We used Vue to create the front end. We had a typescript file for parsing and doing other operations on data.

Challenges we ran into

  1. Inconsistency in how the data was saved in the bulletin so had to manually collect data.
  2. Initially we created a python file to handle all operations on the data (adding course to timeline, checking requisites, removing course, evaluating requisite query, etc.) but then we converted it to typescript which generated many errors, but we eventually fixed those. ## Accomplishments that we're proud of Being able to write algorithm to traverse pre-requisites was challenging as it required a bit of solving algebraic expression. ## What we learned We learned to use Vue and typescript ## What's next for Requaza To add more courses and improve the data flow in the program. Also, make it available online.
