Reputation Dao

Inspiration

One day I realized after giving a interview for a marketing club that our whole reputation is based on others view of us and their testimonials and like we don't really have a quantifiable method to just proof what we did and what we didn't . This opens a whole lot of ways to cheat to get ahead , bribing people , personal preference of superiors , the list goes on . So we created Reputation , a soulbound reputation protocol where reputation can't be faked or bought .

What it does

Any organization can set up their own isolated reputation tree and award users reputation points based on their current contributions.This is done using the minted reputation points that have a strict daily cap on them and all awards have a public history where anyone can track reputation to prevent unfair means . Every award or revoke done is immutable and cannot be manipulated in the future . This way an employee or junior gets the recognition and rewards they deserve and the owner can see who actually contributed and pay them accordingly . The need for testimonials gone . How we built it

We built it on the ICP blockchain because of its unique gassless Ux that makes it easy to onboard non crypto users . We used its native language motoko for the backend and tsx for the frontend

Challenges we ran into

It was really difficult to dynamically create smart contracts (called canisters in icp) for each time a new org signed up and keep them isolated and make it less expensive to run . After that came the most difficult task of making it cross chain compatible and then setting up the payment/reward systems for the users . But we cracked these problems and kept improving consistently

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We very recently came top 15 globally out of 12k devs (first in India) in the world computer hacker league 2025 and won a total sum of $2k from it .

What we learned

What we thought of and are trying to achieve is quite ambitious and really big but we aren't afraid to take on a challenge in which our odds of succeeding are low . We will make this protocol a global standard for sure .

What's next for Reputation Dao

We are in talks with major DAOs for our pilot program and in discussions with grad capital for pre seed investment . In the technical part we already created API/SDK for our protocol and now are going to integrate it seamlessly in discord and telegram so communities are easily able to onboard their members
