Inspiration

Medical reports are often complex and hard to understand, leading to anxiety and delayed decision-making for non-medical individuals.

What it does

ReportXplain uses AI to simplify medical reports into clear, easy-to-understand language, making healthcare more accessible.

How we built it

We used NestJS, PostgreSQL, MinIO, and TypeORM for the backend, integrated Google’s Generative AI for report simplification, and ensured security with JWT and bcrypt.

Challenges we ran into

Ensuring medical accuracy while keeping explanations simple and balancing AI efficiency with real-time processing were major challenges.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Successfully building an AI-driven system that translates medical jargon into understandable language and making healthcare information truly accessible.

What we learned

We gained experience in AI-powered NLP, healthcare data handling, and optimizing NestJS-based scalable architectures for real-time processing.
