ReportSimpleV2 — Medical Reports in Plain Language

💡 Inspiration

Medical reports often contain complex terms and unfamiliar numbers that can be difficult for patients to understand. We built ReportSimpleV2 to make medical information easier to read and help users prepare better questions for their doctors.

🩺 What It Does

ReportSimpleV2 helps users understand medical reports in plain language. It presents test findings, highlights values outside reference ranges, explains possible patterns to discuss with a doctor, and suggests questions users may want to ask their healthcare professional.

The app also displays safety guidance and reminds users that its explanations are not a diagnosis or a replacement for professional medical care.

⚙️ How We Built It

We focused on creating a simple, accessible interface that organizes report information into clear sections, including findings, possible explanations, suggested follow-up tests, and questions for a doctor.

🚧 Challenges We Faced

One challenge was presenting complex medical information in a way that is understandable without making it sound like a definitive diagnosis. We addressed this by emphasizing reference ranges, clear explanations, and appropriate medical disclaimers.

📚 What We Learned

This project helped us understand the importance of clear communication, accessible design, and responsible presentation of health-related information.

🚀 What's Next

We aim to improve report-reading accuracy, support more report formats, enhance explanations, and make the interface even more accessible.

Safety Note: ReportSimpleV2 is an informational tool. It does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
