Inspiration
Every week, more and more crime cases occur around the world, and it's time for a change. Our team wanted to develop an app that allows citizens to take control.
What it does
Watchful allows users to create and view reports of crime incidents, dangers, and risks in their neighborhood or surrounding neighborhoods. . These reports are shared with authorities and police officers to provide support in solving crime cases and protecting neighborhoods. The app also allows police officers to make announcements when they are aware of a risk or danger, which can improve security.
How we built it
We built the app UI in Powerpoint. We all developed slides with different pages in the app.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we ran into was procrastination. As OHSers, we often procrastinate, but this time, we procrastinated too much. We started on November 7, 2023. The hackathon was due on November 7, 2023. It was challenging for us to submit the app on time because we procrastinated so much.

We're proud that we spent the time to develop the app UI, and make a submission at all!

We're planning on adding new features, such as adding others as friends, private messages, and more!
