ReportGenie – AI-Powered Report Generation Platform

Inspiration

The inspiration behind ReportGenie came from observing how students, professionals, and small businesses spend a significant amount of time creating reports manually. Whether it is academic reports, project documentation, business summaries, or analytics reports, the process is often repetitive, time-consuming, and difficult to format properly.

We wanted to create a platform that simplifies this workflow by automating report generation and helping users create clean, professional reports quickly and efficiently.

What it does

ReportGenie is an AI-powered report generation website that helps users create structured and professional reports with minimal effort.

Users can:

  • Enter report details or upload content
  • Generate formatted reports instantly
  • Create summaries and insights using AI
  • Export reports in a clean format
  • Save and manage generated reports

The platform reduces manual work and improves productivity by transforming raw input into organized documentation.

How we built it

We built ReportGenie as a full-stack web application using:

  • Frontend: React.js + Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Node.js + Express.js
  • Database: MongoDB
  • AI Integration: Gemini/OpenAI API for content generation and summarization
