Inspiration
We have seen with our own eyes, how much time it takes to create a project report and to do that frequently. God no way. So we took it as a challenge and made the report making as easier as possible
What it does
It creates reports on issues and projects quickly and it also allows the users to automate the report generation, thereby reducing a lot of time in these time consuming reports. This way the developer don’t have worry about the reports or the client, who is keep on asking the status of the project. The developers can totally concentrate on the project and not on the report. The devops is all about shipping the products quickly. One of the main intervention here is creating reports for clients and managers. This app will totally remove this problem, thereby making the software development process of devops even more faster.
How we built it
We built it by leveraging the custom ui development method in forge ui. Even though we leveraged the custom ui to its fullest, we maintained the look and feel of the atlassain platform by using atlaskit
Challenges we ran into
Going through the vast amount of apis and finding the best one was challenging to us but we were saved by the large community of atlassain developers.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to save a lot of developers time that are wasted in creating a report for managers and clients every now and then.
What we learned
We learned the whole process in the forge platform and building in forge was easier as permissions and cloud was totally managed by the atlassain
What's next for Reporter - Project & Issue Reports
More creative and eye catching report templates will be provided for the users and also allow the users to create multiple automation for a single project. We can't wait to create new features which will allow the users to create reports even quicker than before.
