Inspiration
I had noticed that while many of the music player applications available today are free of charge for basic usage, to make up for the free access, a user's music is often interrupted through ads. I wanted to create an application that allows people to play their music from anywhere, at anytime, without any interruptions!
What it does
The web application allows the user to play all of their music from one spot. Users can chose to skip songs, go to previous songs, loop tracks, or shuffle play their music, without any ad interruptions!
How we built it
The application was built using HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
Challenges we ran into
There are a multitude of issues that I ran into while creating this project. One of the biggest challenges I faced was the workload. Another challenge was the new language. Being fairly new to Javascript made it difficult to program certain aspects of the music player, but it all worked out in the end!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
To be able to complete this project on time and in a completely new language is an accomplishment that I'm very proud of! Although tough, the past 36 hours have proven to be incredibly insightful and rewarding!
What we learned
Before this project, I had very minimal experience with Javascript, and since this project extensively uses Javascript, I got to really dig deep and take a very close look at how Javascript works!
What's next for rePlaylist
In the future, some features I would like to implement in rePlaylist, are: a) allow users to click and play any song they like (currently just goes in order) b) allow users to add more songs to their playlist (without having to code it in)
