Jorge's sister asked a question that he didn't want to answer because it was too much work. That's where ReplAI comes in.
What it does
ReplAI, your own generative-AI power Discord representative that learns your speech patterns and diction. Whether you're too busy or tired of reading messages, have it reply to a conversation on your behalf.
How we built it
ReplAI was built using a Python backend and HTML/CSS for the frontend. ReplAI utilizes OpenAI's and Discord's robust API's to deliver a fast, personalized response to any conversation.
Challenges we ran into
ReplAI was challenging to build because of learning how to utilize Discord's API's and Developer Tools.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
ReplAI gives you time back to spend doing things you love. Finishing a MVP for a product that could be integrated with other social media platforms was rewarding, especially for a first hackathon.
What we learned
Coming up with a project idea isn't easy. It takes iteration and deep knowledge of a subject area to build something that solves a complex problem with a simple solution in 24 hours.
What's next for ReplAI
ReplAI could be made to integrate with other, more mainstream social networking services like Messenger or WhatsApp.
