Inspiration
Often, our harshest critic is ourselves because of negative self-talk. Since this inner dialogue can be difficult to overcome, we wanted to create a tool that provides multiple ways to break free from the negative thought spiral.
What it does
There are three parts to the project: 1) The AI-powered thought reframing tool, 2) Guided breathing, and 3) Guided grounding. The reframing tool takes in user input and rephrases the thought to be more uplifting and motivational. Next, the guided breathing tool leads the user through the 4-7-8 breathing exercise to promote relaxation. Lastly, the guided grounding tool provides an interactive interface to complete the 5-4-3-2-1 grounding exercise, helping users reduce their anxiety and stay present.

Accomplishments that we're proud of
The RephraseIt AI tool consistently provides motivational, uplifting responses. The website interface is easy and intuitive to use and creates a calming experience through visuals and sound.
What we learned
We learned about how to use AI within a project and create an aesthetically pleasing website.
What's next for RephraseIt
The AI tool can be expanded on to ensure it is always providing the best responses. More calming and meditation techniques could be added to create more of a one-stop experience. Links to external sites could be added for people who need more help.
