Inspiration

We realized that in moments of household emergencies—like electrical failures or plumbing issues—it’s difficult to find trusted and immediate help. That's where Repario comes in: an on-demand platform to instantly locate, connect with, and hire verified repair professionals near you.

What it does

Repario helps users:

  • Book nearby electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and more in real time.
  • View verified service provider profiles.
  • Track their location via a live map.
  • Initiate emergency bookings instantly.

How we built it

We used:

  • React Native + Expo for the mobile frontend.
  • Supabase for authentication, user data, and booking database.
  • Bolt.new for rapid UI development.
  • Netlify for deployment.
  • MapView APIs for live location integration.

Challenges we ran into

  • Integrating real-time map-based tracking.
  • Debugging issues with authentication and logout flows using Supabase.
  • Handling cross-platform testing across different devices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Built a fully functional app with real-time booking.
  • Successfully deployed using Bolt and Netlify.
  • Created a polished UI/UX experience despite time constraints.
  • Enabled live service tracking and emergency help features.

What we learned

  • How to use Supabase as a powerful Firebase alternative.
  • Rapid UI development and deployment workflows with Bolt.new.
  • Importance of handling user experience under constraints.
  • Cross-team collaboration and debugging in a remote setup.

What's next for Repario

  • Launching provider-side onboarding for handymen.
  • Adding reviews/ratings and payment integration.
  • Expanding services to include vehicle repairs and home maintenance.
  • Publishing to Google Play Store and App Store.
