Repair It: The AI-Powered Pocket Mechanic
Inspiration
Every year, millions of tons of repairable electronics, appliances, and furniture end up in landfills simply because people don't know how to fix them or fear they'll make it worse. Looking at a broken toaster in our dorm kitchen and realized: the information to fix it is out there, but it's buried in dense manuals or long YouTube videos. The goal is to bridge the gap between "broken" and "fixed" by making expert repair knowledge instantly accessible through the camera lens of your phone easily and quickly to do it your self.
What is this?
Repair It turns your smartphone into an expert repair assistant. Powered by Google Gemini 3, simply point your camera at any broken or degraded item to get an instant diagnosis. The app analyzes the visual damage and generates a custom, step-by-step repair guide tailored specifically to that object, helping you fix it safely and quickly by your self.
Instant Identification:
Users snap a picture of a broken or degraded item (e.g., a specific blender model, a bicycle derailleur, or a leaking pipe). The app uses computer vision which built in Gemini 3 Pro to identify the item and detect the problem and provide the fix.
