Inspiration
Education tooling (G classroom, moodle) mostly sucks by default, but the surface api is there to do something more usable to the benefit of teachers and students alike
What it does
Is a dashboard built on top of google classroom. It adds a bit of functionality
How we built it
Full on vibe coding. I didn't touch a single line of code for this. It's pretty decent for an mvp
Challenges we ran into
Setting up google credentials was kinda hard. THat's the problem with proprietary software though
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This is my first vibe coded app (also technically my first web project, but it kinda feels wrong calling it that given my lack of input). It was pretty decent for the low amount of time I actually put into it (4hs at most)
What we learned
This was pretty good agent workflow practice. My later prompts were definitely better than the first few
What's next for Rep's EduCompass
If I feel like it I might actually put some actual effort into it. I am a teacher after all so I'll probably need something like this eventually
